Who I am

I’m Daniel, and I love God. I was baptised at 12 years of age, and since then have desired to grow in wisdom and stature, like Jesus, and in favour with God and man.

who wants to understand what I believe and why — and to write it down before I forget it. I worship with a church family that tries to be, simply, Christians: no sectarian name, no creed but the Bible, taking the New Testament as the working pattern for faith and practice.

Why this site exists

Anchored is my accumulated understanding of the Christian faith, built out in the open. The statement of faith on the home page is the skeleton; the essays hanging off each statement are the muscle — primary evidence, secondary evidence, and honest answers to objections. It exists because understanding fades if it isn’t written down, and because a claim you can’t check is worth little: every reference here is clickable.

How to engage

Every essay and blog post has a comment section, and comments are moderated before they appear. The bar is simple:

What this site is not

It isn’t a church, a ministry, or an authority — it’s one Christian’s working understanding, offered for your examination against the same Scriptures it cites. Where it’s wrong, show me from the text; that’s a favor, not an attack.
