Why this site exists
Welcome. This post is the short version of what Anchored is for; the full version is the statement of faith on the home page.
The idea. The home page reads like a thesis: nine statements of faith, in plain first-person words. Each statement links to its own page, and on those pages, essays lay out the evidence — the primary passages, the secondary evidence, and the strongest objections answered fairly. Why write it down? Because understanding that lives only in memory fades and scatters. Anchored is a place to accumulate a life’s worth of study in a form that is easy to read, easy to follow, and easy to remember — one essay at a time, added as they are written.
How to engage. Every essay has a comment section. Comments are moderated: nothing appears until it is approved, and the bar is simple — engage the argument, treat people with respect, and you’re welcome here whether you agree or not. Disagreement stated fairly makes the essays better.
