Statement III of X · Church of Christ Fundamentals
Christians Only
I exclude sectarian names, using the title of Christian only.
The earliest believers were called Christians — not by their own slogan, but as the name that stuck at Antioch. Wearing any other party name divides the body that Christ prayed would be one.
This page gathers the essays on the name “Christian”: where it comes from, what the New Testament says about party names, and what it looks like in practice to be “Christians only” — without claiming to be the only Christians.
